MANASI PATANKAR

Hi, I am an Illustrator and Graphic designer from Mumbai, India currently based in Brooklyn, New York. I hold an MFA in Illustration as a Visual Essay from the School of Visual Arts, and a Bachelors in Design from Srishti University, Bangalore.
I illustrate whimsical worlds as vibrant playgrounds where everyday objects become abstract vehicles transporting life reflections into surreal narratives. By juxtaposing the ordinary with bold metaphors, I evoke emotions and ambiguity that invites curiosity. My work thrives on maximalism, with a soft spot for loud colors, merging organic forms, poetry, and typography to create a dynamic sense of play. Through interactive art books, zines, and identity design, I construct imaginative landscapes that celebrate storytelling as a boundless adventure.
